  1. What is a Salon 20 GroupSM?
    A Salon 20 GroupSM is a group of approximately 20 and no more than 22 salons and spas that come together in order to share information, ideas and good practices with each other. They are formed for the Sole-Benefit of the members.

  2. How do I join a Salon 20 GroupSM?
    You may apply for membership in a group by submitting the application on our website or the application received in one of informational presentations. Your application must be voted on and approved by the group.

  3. What are the criteria joining a group?
    The criteria are simple:
    a. Willingness and the ability to share all financial information on a monthly basis
    b. Agree to meet with your group 3 times per year
    c. Bring and present to your group one good idea or concept per meeting
    d. Be available to mentor others in your group
    e. A SINCERE DESIRE TO BE THE BEST

  4. How is the determination made in deciding into which group I am placed?
    You will be paced into a group that best meets your needs, operating criteria and location, i.e., Commission Salon, Rental Salon, Franchise Salon, etc. The geographic location importance is to decrease your travel expenses to group meetings

  5. How often are meetings held?The meetings are held a minimum of 3 times per year, but meetings may be added if desired by the group. There may also be meetings via the Internet and video conferencing

  6. When and where are the meetings held?
    The meeting locations are decided upon by group consensus. They are most often held near on of the member’s salons so that the group may do a visitation.

  7. How many days are the meetings?
    The meetings are typically 2 days in length and most often held on Sunday and Monday to minimize your time away

  8. Are the meetings expensive and do they require a lot of time?
    The meetings are paid for on a pro-rata basis by each of the group members. The expenses include, common meeting areas, the facilitator’s travel expenses, and any expenses incurred for any speakers or presentations the group may decide upon. In addition you are responsible for your own travel expenses. Preparation time is only the time you need to be prepared to present your idea to the group and whatever is necessary for you to be familiar with your financial statements and management reports. The meetings as discussed above are normally 2 days in duration

  9. What does it cost to be a member?
    The monthly dues are $400.00. There is no initiation or set-up fee

  10. What do I get for my monthly dues?
    Each month you will get:
    a. Balance Sheet
    b. Income Statement
    c. Statement of Cash Flows, all of which will be benchmarked against your group
    d. A collection of management reports call a composite which will detail your salon’s productivity, efficient use of assets, revenue and expense analysis and various ratios, again benchmarked against your group

    Eventually when we have the critical mass needed we will also institute employee welfare plans, i.e., group insurance, 401K plans, etc., and other services heretofore cost prohibitive to the individual salon owner.

  11. Can I go to a meeting for the first time without an obligation to join?
    Yes, You may attend a meeting to see for yourself what is done and what we discuss

  12. If I decide that I like what I see at the meeting, what is the next step?
    You must fill out an application, which will be voted upon by the group and if accepted, you will start submitting and receiving financial information

  13. After joining what are my obligations to the Salon 20 GroupSM?
    As stated above, you must agree to share all financial and management information with the group. You must agree to attend 3 meetings per year and present one good idea at each meeting
